Ryan Walser joins Plateau for north Texas

ryanwalser Ryan Walser is a wildlife biologist trained in west Texas but has family in the north Texas area where he has returned as the newest member of the Plateau Land & Wildlife team.

He will be focusing his attention on helping landowners in north Texas and agreed to share a few comments about himself and what his new duties will encompass in the area.

Some birds like cavities; others like nesting boxes

Like all the biologists at Plateau, she’s a wealth of information. When I asked her what she wanted to chat about, she responded that cavity nesting birds and nesting boxes were an avid interest.

Breeding Bird Census Helps Landowners Know Their Birds

Vermilflycatcher640x480 A Breeding Bird Census (BBC) is a survey to determine what types and species of birds that might be breeding on any given property.  More and more landowners are turning to the BBC to see what they have.  They then can enhance the habitat to encourage more birds to visit.  Songbirds seem to be a favorite of Texas landowners.
